What does it mean when Alexa says, "Sorry, I got lost during the conversation. Please start over."?

You have reached an invalid state. Just say 'Reset' and Melvin will reset the state to start from scratch.

What does it mean when Alexa says, "I'm still working on implementing this analysis. Please try again later."?

You have reached a state which is not implemented yet. You could continue with other analyses.

What does it mean when Alexa says, "Sorry, something went wrong while resolving the query utterance. Please try again later."?

There was an issue with recognising your utterance. Try again by closing and re-launching the skill.

What does it mean when Alexa says, "I'm still working on it, please wait."?

The analysis you requested for is taking a little longer than ususal.

When asked for a gene A, Melvin responded with information on gene B. Why is that?

This could be a result of a slight difference in Alexa’s speech recognition of your gene name utterance. Please retry with clearer enunciation or spelling the gene out (like K-R-A-S)

Why can only voice responses be heard and no visual responses seen?

Usually this is attributed to a cold start or a time taking visualization process. It is recommended to wait for 8 seconds before repeating the request.

Why is the Alexa app not seen on my android/iOS app store?

Unfortunately this could be because your region is geographically locked for Amazon apps and Melvin can not be installed without the Alexa app.
